1. Recorded Webinar: SmartNSF - 100% Smart - and in color!

If you missed our webinar on June 13th watch the recoding and learn about SmartNSF, one new piece of the IBM Domino application modernization puzzle! Learn how you can turn a simple Domino database (NSF) to a smart microservice within minutes. If you are new to the world of REST APIs, Microservices, OpenApi Specification and YAML don't worry! Christian and Martin will provide you an introduction to the modern paradigm of the microservice world. We will explore how your "old" skills on @Formulas, Agents and LotusScript fit into the new world of SmartNSF. SmartNSF also brings great value to XPages, Java and SSJS Gurus. And, last but not least, learn how all this fits into IBM's REST API Strategy and get inspired with what can be done with SmartNSF in your business. Will there be a demo? For sure!

2. MWLUG Sessions Announced

MWLUG has announced their session lineup. There is a great selection of sessions for developer, admins, and management people. Plus, there are bonus workshops on Tuesday. The content also goes beyond the IBM Collaboration Systems world. Learn more about other technologies such as Docker, IoT, MongoDB, and more.

I am excited that I have been selected as a speaker at MWLUG! I will be partnering with a very experienced Domino administrator, Andrew Pollock. Our session is called Can Domino Be Hacked? Lessons We Can Learn From the Security Community. We will look at the best practices in application security from The Open Web Application Security Project and relate those to a Domino environment. This will be a great session for both developers and admins!

MWLUG will be held in Alexandria, VA on August 8th to the 10th. An optional excursion will take place on August 11th to the Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport in Virginia. The cost of the conference is only $75, a real bargain!
